    Product Description

    BD Diesel's exhaust brake usage can cause high transmission temperatures due to torque converter slippage, with only 10% to 80% of the retarding force transferred through most torque converters' fluid coupling. The BD AutoLoc solves this by commanding the torque converter's lock-up clutch to stay engaged when the BD Exhaust Brake is activated, enabling up to 100% of the retarding force to be transferred in 3rd and 4th gear. This keeps transmission oil temperatures low by minimizing or eliminating slippage in the converter in these gears.
