Since 1989, Italian designer Ettore Sottsass has created functional wooden objects for the Alessi catalogue. Reintroduced in new and surprising colour combinations for the Values Collection celebrating Alessi’s centenary, the ES18 Twergi Mills are indispensable objects for the kitchen and are small, colourful sculptures in different sizes that can be used at the table. The use of overlapping coloured volumes are typical of Sottsass’s style. These mills, which can be used for salt, pepper, or spices, are dedicated to fans of the designer’s iconic “totems”.
